What's in a name? Over the years Craig the Painter has been labelled Bob the Builder's best mate. Well not quite, but just for the record, can we change your much aged house into something a bit more modern? Yes we can. Craig the Painter's name came about when my earliest customers requested Craig, the painter, on the phone. It stuck, and today Craig the Painter has become the preferred brand for hundreds of satisfied customers.

Craig the Painter was established in 1997. This was a time when the building industry was just recovering from the building crash of the early 90’s. Tradespeople in the building industry were struggling to get moving again, and it seemed the right time to start up in business having begun an apprenticeship back in the 1980’s.

Painting and decorating businesses were a dime-a-dozen, but I wanted to create a business that was totally unique. I'd always enjoyed performing my trade, but my greatest passion has always been teenagers, and in supporting us, you help support them, not to mention a variety of other worthy charitible organisations. It's whats made Craig the Painter one of New Zealands most uniqiue business organisations.
